Softball Complex Rules

The following items are prohibited at the Wallace Marine Park Softball Complex:

  • Outside Food or Beverages (one unopened water bottle or sports drink is allowed, no energy drinks).
  • Coolers, Ice Chests/Boxes, Cans, Glass Bottles, and/or Fireworks. However, one team cooler containing unopened water bottles/sports drinks and fruit is allowed.
  • Animals and Pets. Exception: Certified Service Animals.
  • Bicycling, Skateboarding, Rollerblading, and Large Riding Toys and/or Distracting or Noise-making Toys.
  • Smoking is prohibited at the Wallace Marine Park Softball Complex and West Salem High School. Please utilize designated smoking areas outside the Wallace Marine Park Softball Complex.

Code of Conduct

All players, coaches, managers, spectators, and visitors to the Albert Wallace Marine Park Softball Complex will abide by the following Code of Conduct:

1. Respect the rules of the game and how it should be played.

2. Respect their opponents by remembering a worthy opponent brings out our best.

3. Respect the game officials even when we may not agree with their calls.

4. Respect our teammates and remember our commitment on and off the playing field.

5. Respect the tradition of the game and remember it is a privilege to participate.

6. Be mindful of your conduct. Make sure that no action occurs that could reflect adversely on your sponsor or team. Remember that the inappropriate action of even one player can reflect upon your entire team and the game of softball.
